Lash lift/tint

The lash lift procedure has revolutionised old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions and the associated aftercare, this will last you 4-8 weeks and can be combined with a tint to leave the mascara behind.

Why should I try it?

A lash lift will curl your existing natural eyelashes, No lash extensions are used.

A Lash Lift will make your lashes look thicker, fuller, and longer with a nice lifting effect, making your eyes look amazing.

Results lasts between 4-8 weeks, which is the natural life cycle of an eyelash. Your lifted lashes gently drop as your own eyelashes naturally shed, thus causing no damage to your natural lashes.

Lash Lifts are very low maintenance. Most importantly, just avoid getting your lashes wet for 24 hours.

What to expect.

At least 48 hours prior to the treatment, you can choose to book an allergy test to ensure that you are not allergic to the products used. This is optional and completely your responsibility. While it is rare , allergic reations are possible, if you choose to not get an allergy test done and turn out to be allergic , Viva La Vulva is not liable.

Contact lenses and mascara must be removed prior to the treatment.

Once the treatment begins, simply lie back, relax, and let us work our magic.

We will cleanse your lashes to ensure all eye makeup is removed.

Lash shields will then be placed onto the eyelids.

After, the lashes are glued up onto the lash shields using a special lash brush and lash adhesive, followed by a lifting solution.

After a couple minutes, the lifting solution is wiped away, then a setting lotion is applied onto the lashes to set the lifting effects.

The setting lotion is left on for another couple minutes, and after removing it a lash tint is applied. The most popular color is blue black, as it is the darkest. To finish up the process, a nourishing oil is applied to ensure the lashes stay nourished, hydrated, and healthy.

Lastly enjoy getting a look at your new beautiful natural lashes.

Frequent asked questions.

Is there any damage to my natural lash?

No. The Keratin Lash Lift last as long as your natural eyelash cycle and they gently drop as your own eyelashes naturally shed, thus causing no damage to your natural lashes.

Can I swim, sauna and steam room with Keratin Lash Lift ?

Yes! After the initial 24 hrs of having your Keratin Lash Lift treatment, you can do anything you like when it comes to water!

Does the Keratin Lash Lift treatment hurt?

No, the treatment is 100% pain free

Can I wear mascara with Keratin Lash Lift ?

Absolutely. However, we recommend not using waterproof mascara , as removing it is harsher on your lashes.

Is there any maintenance ?

Just don't let your lashes come into contact with water or steam for 24 hours. We do recommend to use oil free products if possible and to hydrate your lashes with a serum 3 times a week to keep them healthy.

How long does a lash lift take?

A lash lift can take anything from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end. Maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift.

How long will a Lash Lift last?

A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.

Will I have a reaction to the lotion?

Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand. A patch test is quick and simple. It consists of us placing 2 drops of lotions behind the ear for 15 minutes. Wiping it off and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.

I wear contact lenses, can I have this procedure?

Yes. However, we will ask you to remove them temporarily during the treatment as the eyes will be closed throughout.

Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?

Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.
